Greedy Greedy Gnomes is out now. It’s the work of a single developer from Brazil, Nautlander, and published by UK studio Future Friends Games. The game is full of satire, nonsensical fantasy and tiny capitalist goblin energy.

    Smashing pots for coins

Greedy Greedy Gnomes drops you into Eldor’Idle. It’s a sleepy little RPG town where everyone just sits around in their houses doing absolutely nothing useful. Those houses contain pots, and those pots contain coins.

So, your first move is to start breaking into houses and smashing pots. Click a pot, get one coin. That’s it. That’s the whole plan. By step three, you might become a billionaire. You can spend your coins on upgrades, new buildings, equipment and other stuff, while hiring gnomes to do the pot smashing for you.

You can then train the gnomes to improve their speed, strength and efficiency, because everything needs performance optimisation. Greedy Greedy Gnomes is a satirical clicker-idle RPG where greed is good, might is right, and the end ALWAYS justifies the means.

The game really does lean into the idea of mistreating your gnome employees. At one point, it even suggests sacrificing your employees to the demonic forces of hell before resetting the loop and doing it all over again. Phew! That level of greed is…

Meanwhile, Eldor’Idle also has a Mine where you can dig deep and discover a secret. It also has a Dungeon where you can battle a boss and collect rewards. There’s a Wizard’s Tower where you can brew up a potent upgrade and a Cemetery where you can make deals with a ghost.

Greedy Greedy Gnomes is now available on the Google Play Store for $3.99. Take a look at the launch trailer for a glimpse into the setup.
