Alarmingly, in a recent update, the 99 Nights in the Forest Bat nearly killed the Deer, and now it’s after you. What chance do you stand? Well, given its toughness, you’re going to need some help with the blind swooper. We’ll offer an insight into where this beast lies, and how you can survive a skirmish with it should you happen to take a trip underground. Something that maimed the Deer severely has to be pretty strong.

Get the scoop on where this 99 Nights in the Forest monster lives, its behavioral patterns, whether or not it can be hurt or banished, and how you can stay out of its way. This one’s a toughie, so you may find some 99 Nights in the Forest codes do the job to help you get through.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 99 Nights in the Forest Bat:

What is the 99 Nights in the Forest Bat?

The Bat is one of three secondary antagonists, alongside the Owl and Ram. You can find it Underground – more specifically in the Caves and Bat Caves – and it has a pretty unique skillset, making it one of the trickier enemies in the game’s recent history. Seeing as it’s once again invincible, can’t be stunned with the Flashlight, and will summon enemies to kill you, it’s hard to know how to walk out of a fight with the Bat.

Here are the 99 Nights in the Forest Bat’s stats:

    • Behavior: Hostile
    • HP: N/A
    • Attack types: Screech, Cultist summon
    • Walkspeed: N/A

Where does the 99 Nights in the Forest Bat spawn?

Luckily, the Bat is a really predictable being, given that it’s only able to spawn inside the Caves areas. Much like real bats, they prefer the dark and cold places – though unlike the real thing, you won’t find a 99 Nights Bat inside my bathroom shower. That was a weird time.

What is the 99 Nights in the Forest Bat’s behavior?

Given that the bat is nearly completely blind, the monster behaves slightly differently from its other hostile enemies. The Bat, you may be pleased to know, doesn’t contain a jumpscare, and additionally won’t chase you down once it detects you, because it has no way of knowing which way you’ve headed. Instead, the Bat unleashes a two-stage attack. Firstly, it will release a screech that, if you’re caught by it, will leave your ears ringing, your screen blurring, and your health bar a little bit depleted.

After that, the Bat releases enemies to hunt you down. These mobs are a new form of Cultists, which you’ll already be familiar with, so they’re easy enough to deal with. They are a bit annoying, though, as it kind of feels like an endless barrage of Cultists. They use melee attacks, so a ranged weapon is a good option for these guys.

Can I beat the 99 Nights in the Forest Bat?

No, you cannot beat the 99 Nights in the Forest Bat. The Bat is invincible. It has no HP bar, like the Owl, Ram, and Deer, so all you’d be doing by trying to hit it is wasting ammo. You can’t stun this one with your flashlight, either, so you’d be best placed as far away from it as you can, and keep a nice wall in between the two of you. It can’t leave the Caves to make it to your campfire, either, so you’re safe there.

99 Nights in the Forest Bat tips

If you’re wondering how to get into battle with an immortal being and walk out the other side, we’re here to help. It is difficult, but we’ve compiled the best ways to look into the eyes of the Bat and live to tell the tale.

Here are our tips on how to survive the 99 Nights in the Forest Bat:

    1. If you spot the Bat in the wild, try to stick close to a wall. It’s likely the bat will hear you moving around and will unleash an attack soon, and the only way to beat the Bat at its own game is to dodge the screech attacks by hiding behind walls.
    2. Try to kill the Cultists as soon as they appear. If you try ignoring them, you risk leaving too many of them up and fighting, and may get overwhelmed when you run into the Bat. This makes it difficult to stay near a wall.
    3. Running away is a much more viable option than it is with other enemies that chase you, like the Ram. If all else fails, find the surface again, and you won’t have to deal with the Bat up there.

That’s it for our 99 Nights in the Forest Bat guide. We hope you don’t have any issues with this baddie going forward.
