A cozy sim and a retro shooter

The Epic Games Store offers a couple of free PC games every week to users, and the picks are always a different mix of genres. This week Epic users can claim an ocean-bound cozy sim and a space-themed retro shooter for no charge.

    Havendock

Havendock is a cozy sim where you build up a colony on the ocean. You’ll create your character, build a town from the ground up (or, should I say, water up), and manage your fellow colonists. Raise animals, grow crops, invent gadgets, explore what’s beneath the surface, and more. Over on Epic’s competitor Steam, Havendock has over 1,400 reviews and a “Very Positive” rating.

    Hyper Echelon

Retro shoot-’em-ups, like Minishoot’ Adventures, are always a good time, and you can get one for free from Epic. Hyper Echelon has you battling an evil alien force via top-down shooting. Pilot and upgrade your little star fighter across 10 different worlds and four different gameplay modes, including a boss rush mode and survival missions. Grab a friend for the ride as Hyper Echelon supports two-player local co-op.

If Havendock and Hyper Echelon catch your eye, all you need to do is log in to the Epic Games Store and claim them. They’ll be free until Thursday, April 2, at 11 a.m. EDT.

Earlier in March, Epic gave away Electrician Simulator and DLC for World of Warships; Cozy Grove and Isonzo; and free content for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms and Turnip Boy Robs a Bank.
