One of the coziest parts of Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, Nintendo’s long-awaited follow-up to the 3DS cult classic, is customizing the lives of the Miis living on your island.
This includes giving them various wardrobe options, personalities, meddling in their social lives, and customizing the look and feel of their homes. It may not be as fully customizable as something like Animal Crossing, but it still scratches that same itch.
Plus, you don’t have to work hand over foot to pay off Tom Nook.

Every Nintendo Game Announced For 2026
Fresh off a hot start in 2025 for the Nintendo Switch 2, here is every Nintendo game currently announced for 2026.
As expected, the ability to customize homes isn’t available from the start. It’s something you have to progress through the game to unlock. Thankfully, it’s something that can be accomplished fairly quickly, even if it feels a little confusing at first glance.
Our guide to unlocking the T&C Reno Home Supply will cover what exactly the shop is, the parameters needed to unlock it, and the best way to accomplish that.
What is the T&C Reno Home Supply
Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream features a variety of shops on your island.
These shops all serve various purposes. You have a food mart available from the start, and there’s also the Wear and Wardrobe shop that you unlock fairly quickly in the game.
T&C Reno Home Supply comes after that. This is where you can pick and choose from various interior designs to decorate your Miis’ homes. There’s a decent selection of designs available from the start, along with a rotating weekly special.
You can also tinker with each design, giving them various colors to better match the desired personalities and preferences of your Miis.
That all sounds fine and dandy, but what do you say we talk about how you can access the T&C Reno Home Supply?
How to Unlock the T&C Reno Home Supply
There are two qualifications you’ll need to fulfill to gain access to T&C Reno Home Supply. First, your island must have a total of 4 Miis living on it. You won’t have to do anything special to accomplish this. Just keep playing through the game, and you’ll eventually be able to have four Miis on your island.
The second and trickier qualification is that you’ll need your Miis to enter two friendships. This is the relationship status where Miis are compatible and enjoy each other’s company.

To get Miis to like each other, you’ll first want to make sure they meet and interact. You’ll have to do some meddling to force them into an introduction and hang out on a regular basis. If their personalities are a match, they’ll bond over time.
Don’t be afraid to be aggressive when it comes to making sure they hang out as well. If you’re impatient and want to customize homes quickly, this is the best way to do it.
For what it’s worth, the first two Miis to enter a friendship were my wife and me. When making her Mii, I had the option to say that we are in a real-life relationship. It felt easier for us to enter a friendship than for other Miis.
Eventually, with enough meddling and compatibility, you’ll have enough Miis in friendships to unlock and build the T&C Reno Home Supply!
Once you have that second friendship, you’ll need to talk to a Mii to build the T&C Reno Home Supply. Don’t be afraid to delete Miis that aren’t good fits with your island residents. It’s something I had to do myself to help move the process along.
