Nintendo confirmed the dates for the next major Pokemon Pokopia event that adds Sableye, with Sableye’s Gem Hunt starts on April 29, 2026. Like the Hoppip event in March 2026, this involves an opportunity to move in a character who is otherwise unavailable and acquire new furniture items tied to them. It will last for two weeks in the Switch 2 game.

Functionally, Sableye’s Gem Hunt will work in the exact same way as More Spores for Hoppip. When we log in after the event begins, Sableye will set up shop at a Pokemon Center. The character wants red crystal fragments. You get these by going to Dream Islands and collecting them, just like we did the spores during the last event.

Once you get these red crystal fragments, you can visit Sableye at the Pokemon Center. The initial images make it seem like the character will be at Withered Wasteland, just like Hoppip. You can then trade for exclusive items. (These can be 3D printed with Pokemetal later.)

Here are the first images for the event:

Pokemon Pokopia is available for the Switch 2, and the Sableye event runs between April 29, 2026 and May 14, 2026.
