Level Infinite recently launched Gangstar Mirage City in the Philippines, a new open-world mobile game that’s available right now in a soft launch phase on Android.
While this is not the full launch of the game, this initial phase does give players access to the game’s core mechanics and features, meaning it should offer a meaty experience for mobile gamers.
For those unfamiliar, Gangstar Mirage City is the latest chapter in Gameloft’s Gangstar franchise, and it is set in the near-future city of Rooklyn. As a big open-world game that’s reminiscent of games like Grand Theft Auto, Mirage City promises to deliver plenty of action. Plus, the game promises to put player choice at the forefront, as players can expect plenty of unscripted gameplay moments that should complement the structured missions. The game also features a wide array of customization options for vehicles, properties, and more.
As a bonus, Gangstar Mirage City features Tagalog in-game text. This is made specifically for the Philippine soft launch. Of course, players can also choose English text. Plus, the game’s main voiceover is still in English.
Level Infinite launching this game first in the Philippines is a treat for Pinoy mobile gamers. This makes sense if you think about it though, considering that the country is a massive mobile game market. On the flip side, there are still plenty of popular mobile games that are not released officially in the Philippines. As such, it feels quite nice that the PH has gotten a mobile game first in the world.
Gangstar Mirage City is available now in the Philippines on Android devices. For more details, visit the game’s official website.
