Nihon Falcom and NIS America announced more The Legend of Heroes games will be available on additional platforms, as it will bring both Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure to both the Switch 2 and PS5. Both have a 2026 launch window. While the the two didn’t note if the pair that make up the Crossbell arc of these Trails lines will launch at the same time or there will be a staggered release, the fact that they will be sold physically in a bundle together makes it seem more likely that they could be a simultaneous launch. These will feature improved graphics and performance, and the Switch 2 version will have Joy-Con 2 mouse support.
As indicated by the “Crossbell arc” name, both of these games are set in the city-state of the same name. They focus on Special Support Section officer Lloyd Bannings and his team that includes (recurring) characters Elie MacDowell, Tio Plato, and Randy Orlando. They end up involved in a larger conspiracy in the first game. In the second, revelations from the original game lead to a new diabolical plot, with the team and new members Wazy Hemisphere and Noel Seeker joining in to keep Crossbell and its citizens safe.
Basically, the first game takes place at about the same time as Trails of Cold Steel. The second takes place during both the first and second Cold Steel entries.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure will come to the Switch 2 and PS5 in 2026, and both games are already on the Switch, PS4, and PC worldwide. In Japan, both games also appear on the PSP and Vita.
