Doborog Games has announced that it is porting its beloved robot voxel slice-em-up title, Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, to mobile devices soon. The popular indie game has earned overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam over the years, and the team is finally bringing the chaotic robot battles to mobile.
Get ready to slice, survive, and outsmart deadly robot gladiators
It may have taken a while, but Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is finally making its way to mobile, and I think it will be worth the wait. If you’ve never played it before, this robot voxel hack ‘n’ slash game throws your consciousness into the body of a robot gladiator, forcing you to engage in battle for survival inside a dangerous arena.
Combat is super satisfying here, since you can chop off enemy limbs, lose your own arms or legs, keep fighting on a single leg, and even slice towering robots into smaller pieces before landing the final blow. Fast movement, smart positioning, and good timing are keys to staying alive. There is also plenty of content, like you can dive into Story mode, Endless mode with dozens of level variations across multiple difficulty tiers, Challenge mode, Twitch mode, and more.
You can also enjoy multiplayer game modes like Last Bot Standing, a battle royale-like mode, Private Duels, and Online Co-op. Overall, the game is very enjoyable thanks to its entertaining commentary, achievements, emotes, wide range of upgrades for your jetpack, bow, kick, armor, and more. There is also a Level Editor that lets you create your own challenges and share them with others.
Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is set to port on mobile. The devs revealed that one of the biggest challenges during development was creating touch controls that actually felt good for such a fast-paced action game. And after years of experimenting with different control layouts, the team believes they have finally found the solution. Stay tuned for more updates!
