NetEase Games hosted a Season 9 reveal stream for Marvel Rivals, showcasing the new additions and changes planned for the game’s next major update. Season 9 will bring Jubilee, the latest playable hero, as well as a full overhaul to the Team-Up feature.
The first gameplay footage of Jubilee was shown during the livestream. As a Strategist, Jubilee’s kit is designed around healing allies and blinding enemies. Her Ultimate Ability is described as “a lethal, dazzling firework show.” The cinematic trailer for Jubilee also featured a brief glimpse at Red Hood in Marvel Rivals.
Creative Director Guangguang also outlined a massive rework to Team-Up abilities, which allow heroes to unleash unique skills when paired with specific characters. Starting in Season 9, every hero will possess two Team-Up Ability loadouts. These loadouts will have a “Base Effect” and an “Enhanced Effect,” which will take effect when the relevant character is present.
