SKOAR! College Cup Delhi Valorant finale: Time for Godsify vs Rektt

The Valorant finale features Godsify team from Bennett University and team Rektt from Maharaja Surajmal Institute under GGSIPU. The home advantage for Godsify was evident the moment doors opened, with one side of the arena packed with Bennett University supporters. However, the opposite end echoed with chants for Rektt, creating a proper stadium like atmosphere. And towards the end of match 1, team Rektt supporters had a chance to celebrate as the team won the first match of the grand finale.

The first match of the Valorant grand finale was like a thriller movie, keeping audience at the edge of their seats. Rektt was initially in the lead by winning 10 rounds while Godsify had just 1 round to its name. But, halfway through, things started getting intense and Godsify’s score stood at 8 while Rektt had won 12 rounds and needed just one more to secure victory. However, Rektt, by winning another round, finally defeated Godsify with a score of 13-10.

Earlier, both teams walked in like seasoned esports athletes, complete with confidence and swagger. Rektt made their intentions clear with a bold statement, saying they had beaten Godsify before and would do it again. Godsify responded with a cheeky line of their own, hinting that the real answer would only come at the end. For those unfamiliar, the term rekt is internet slang for being completely defeated, which made the banter even more pointed.

As the players took their seats, the crowd’s excitement peaked. Fans cheered every time their favourite players appeared on the big screen. The build up alone felt like a professional league final, underlining how far structured college esports has become.

All that happened at the BGMI grand finale

Before Valorant took centre stage, Day 1 delivered a high intensity Battlegrounds Mobile India LAN finale featuring 16 of the best college teams in the region. Momentum kept shifting across matches, with surprise eliminations and dramatic comebacks keeping the audience hooked.

Team Aquila drew first blood by winning the opening match and instantly establishing themselves as contenders. Redline followed up with a dominant second match performance built on tight coordination. Team BORG then stepped up in the third match, securing a crucial win that brought the crowd to its feet. In the final match, W2R delivered when it mattered most, clinching the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner title.

While several teams had standout moments, consistency proved decisive. W2R maintained steady performances across matches and ultimately lifted the trophy. Team Invincible finished as first runner up, while Team Aquila secured the second runner up position. Juicy from Team Valor walked away with the MVP title. When the trophy was finally raised, the venue erupted, setting the perfect tone for an equally intense Day 2 showdown.
