Top 5 Upcoming Video Games March 2026
After the insanely high-quality February 2026 release schedule, March 2026 is a bit slower. It’s got a good number of big releases, but nothing that screams likely GOTY nominee. We have two runners-up this month. The first is Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, which is a remake of the most beloved entry in the classic survival horror series. The other is Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park. This would normally easily make our Top 5, but the vanilla version is so recent, and there are fully new games we’d rather highlight. 5. World of Warcraft: Midnight Expansion – March 2
We don’t often include expansion and DLC in lists like the Top 5 Upcoming Video Games March 2026, but World of Warcraft is a big deal. And major expansions don’t come along very often. It’s story directly continues the events of The War Within expansion. Midnight will introduce a new housing gameplay mechanic, where players can customize personal spaces. Unsurprisingly, World of Warcraft: Midnight is a PC exclusive.
4. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection – March 13
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is a turn-based JRPG spin-off of the Monster Hunter games. It’s the third in the series, but has a self-contained story. The narrative is about two adversarial kingdoms struggling against an impending disaster called The Crystal Encroachment. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection ranks a little lower than mainline Monster Hunter games would in the Top 5 Upcoming Video Games March 2026, because it’s a spin-off. It will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC.
