As a result, all of Ternox Games\u2019 titles \u201care scheduled to be removed from the PlayStation Store after August 23,\u201d and the publisher has been given no explanation for Sony\u2019s sudden termination.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As spotted by <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Automaton<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Ternox Games announced the sudden termination last night, and revealed that 14 of their previously published games on the PlayStation Store will be removed in the next seven days. \u201cPlayStation Support refuses to listen to my arguments or even respond to my emails in any way,\u201d Ternox Games stated in a post on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">X<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. \u201cThis means I will no longer be able to self-publish my games on PlayStation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI had hoped to release the PS5 version in 2027 and make a physical disc edition while that was still possible,\u201d they continued. \u201cSadly, that will not happen\u2014but I\u2019ll do my best to create a physical edition for PC and Switch.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">STONKS-9800 will not be coming to PS5.<\/p>\n<p>Sony @PlayStation unilaterally terminated my PlayStation developer and publisher agreement without giving me any reason.<\/p>\n<p>My existing games are scheduled to be removed from the PlayStation Store after August 23. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NQRnAmdyRb\">pic.twitter.com\/NQRnAmdyRb<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ternox Games \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\udde6 \u3010STONKS-9800\u3011OUT NOW! (@Taimumari) August 16, 2026<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As many have already pointed out, Sony has been on an anti-shovelware crusade over the past couple of years, wiping <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">more than 1,000 titles from the PlayStation Store<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in March 2026 alone. However, Ternox Games most certainly is not a shovelware publisher\u2014well, not exclusively, at least.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Look, there are some suspect titles in Ternox Games\u2019 portfolio, like whatever the hell <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finger Fitness<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is, but the majority of its published titles are simply low-budget indie games. Take something like <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Taimumari: Complete Edition<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, for example. That\u2019s not shovelware; it\u2019s just a very low-budget platformer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And for what it\u2019s worth, the quality of Ternox Games\u2019 output has significantly improved over the past few years. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">STONKS-9800: Stock Market Simulator<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which was set to be released on the PlayStation Store, has the title of a game that might sound like shovelware, but it\u2019s currently sitting at \u201cOverwhelmingly Positive\u201d on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steam<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with almost 3,000 reviews.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, if Ternox Games isn\u2019t a purveyor of low-effort slop, why is it being targeted? There\u2019s no way to know for sure at this point without an official explanation from Sony, but if I had to wager a guess, I think that this is perhaps a result of some kind of automated process.
