Another new horror game called The Well Is Not Empty is heading to PC. With retro horror vibes and PS1-style visuals, the game is available to wishlist on Steam for PC. It\u2019s from indie developer and publisher tweakEra.<\/p>\n
It takes place deep underground below a village that has completely run out of water. The entire experience revolves around descending into a well and exploring what lies beneath it.<\/p>\n
The well has gone dry, and the village needs answers, so you go down there with a rope to investigate what happened. Once you get to the bottom, things quickly turn strange as you discover abandoned tunnels and remnants of construction.<\/p>\n
At some point, you realise someone was building a prison down there, but nobody is around anymore. So, all of it obviously raises more questions than answers.<\/p>\n
The game focuses on exploration and survival. You spend a lot of time moving through the abandoned tunnels, destroying rubble blocking your path, and digging through broken earth with a rusty spoon.<\/p>\n
One of the main mechanics involves activating rotting machines. Another is using a backup hand-crank generator to bring light into rooms for a short time so you can move through areas. The creatures living underground fear the light, so you use that to your advantage. If they see you, the only option is to run or hide.<\/p>\n
Along with the retro-3D PS1-style presentation, the title offers low-poly environments, dark tunnels, and industrial machinery. All of it adds to the unsettling atmosphere. On that note, catch a glimpse of The Well Is Not Empty horror game here.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The devs describe it as an awesome adventure, but with a constant sense of dread and despair the entire time, like a wholesome horror game. And by the looks of it, the description totally fits the game.<\/p>\n
