Disney Lorcana<\/em> turns three years old this year, and it blends the recognizable characters of decades of Disney history with a unique TCG that\u2019s just as much fun to play as it is to collect. Whether you\u2019re into Frozen<\/em>, Moana<\/em>, or Darkwing Duck<\/em>, the game keeps growing, and if you\u2019ve ever wanted to jump in, the Gateway boxed product is for you. Even better, you can save 20% at Amazon, bringing the price down to $19.99.<\/p>\n Image: Disney, Ravensburger<\/p>\n Gateway is the de facto starter set for playing Disney Lorcana<\/em>, and it does a great job of teaching you about your Inkwell, questing, and just about everything else.<\/p>\n There are two 30-card decks that you\u2019ll initially square off with, including Mickey and Elsa in one, and Stitch and Maleficent in the other. (Talk about an odd couple!) You\u2019ll also find a neat game board inside that\u2019s ideal for getting started (paper alternatives, begone!). Later on, if you find yourself hooked, you can pick up one of the many, many<\/em> play mat designs available.<\/p>\n As you progress through the tutorial, you\u2019ll open reward packs. It\u2019s a really fun way to \u201cunlock\u201d new cards that slot into your deck, teaching players about synergies while also giving the fun of, well, opening packs with Disney characters inside.<\/p>\n All of this makes it one of my favorite starter sets of any TCG, but if you\u2019d prefer to just collect Lorcana<\/em>, there\u2019s a small (but welcome) discount on the Collection Starter set.
