The hit 2017 visual novel was removed on April 8 over an alleged violation of the Google Play Store\u2019s terms of service. Publisher Serenity Forge said it\u2019s fighting to get the game restored to the mobile storefront and defended the visual novel\u2019s handling of mental health issues.<\/p>\n \u201cTheir explanation is that the game\u2019s content violates their Terms of Service in its depiction of sensitive themes,\u201d the company wrote in a statement on April 9. \u201cDDLC<\/em> is widely celebrated for portraying mental health in a way that meaningfully connects deeply with players around the world, helping them feel heard, understood, and less alone on their journey.\u201d<\/p>\n It continued, \u201cManaging to achieve that\u2014making a truly meaningful difference by using the power of fiction to connect to others\u2014is what I\u2019m most grateful for.
