While most of the year is still unknown, with major releases only showing up in July, it\u2019s safe to assume that come summer, plenty of developers will be dropping release dates, or perhaps updates pushing games back, unfortunately.<\/p>\n<p>                    <span data-field=\"label\" class=\"article-card-label\">Related<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"display-card-title \">\n<p>\t\t\t5 JRPGs That Aged Like Fine Wine After A Decade Of Being Ignored<\/p>\n<\/h5>\n<p class=\"display-card-excerpt\">These JRPGs got a second chance at life thanks to remasters. <\/p>\n<p>So far, the following games that have come out, along with some new games and ports on the horizon, already make 2026 feel packed. <em>Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster<\/em> made it to PC and Xbox consoles, while <em>The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales<\/em> is a fascinating upcoming action JRPG. What are some other games that are out now and upcoming to look forward to? Regardless of semantics, it is now out on most major platforms, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox systems, so now is a great time to check out this impressive and challenging mech game.<\/p>\n<p>Players will traverse a series of linear missions, but have deep customization options when it comes to arming their mechs, called Wanzers, with the best parts and weapons to choose from. Since they&#8217;re part of a small squad, players will have to be careful with every decision they make on these grid-based maps, as victory always tastes sweeter after a particularly tough match.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pokemon-firered-amp-leafgreen\">\n                        Pokemon FireRed &amp; LeafGreen<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"monster-catching-reborn\">\n            Monster-Catching Reborn<br \/>\n    <\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>Pokemon FireRed <\/em>and<em> Pokemon LeafGreen<\/em><\/strong> were both released in 2004 on the GBA, and were remakes of the original <em>Pokemon<\/em> games. The games have now returned on the Switch, but they can also be enjoyed on a Switch 2, and the timing is perfect since it is the franchise\u2019s 30th anniversary in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Players can find out what started the Pokemon phenomenon with a revamped art style and map as they explore Kanto and try to be the very best. At long last, the game in all its versions can now be played on a non-Nintendo system, including PC and Xbox Series X\/S.<\/p>\n<p>Players travel around this <em>Final Fantasy<\/em>-inspired turn-based RPG world, complete with a Job system for players to deeply customize their four-character party. It\u2019s a lighthearted adventure that invokes old-school RPG designs from the 80s and 90s while still feeling modern thanks to the great visual style and combat options.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mega-man-star-force-legacy-collection\">\n                        Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"beyond-the-battle-network\">\n            Beyond The Battle Network<br \/>\n    <\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection<\/em><\/strong> gathers the three core DS games in this <em>Mega Man<\/em> RPG spinoff series, including the multiple versions of each. The <em>Mega Man Star Force<\/em> franchise was a spiritual successor to the <em>Mega Man Battle Network<\/em> games.<\/p>\n<p>                    <span data-field=\"label\" class=\"article-card-label\">Related<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"display-card-title \">\n<p>\t\t\t8 Super Long JRPGs That Are So Good, You&#8217;ll Want to Play Them Twice<\/p>\n<\/h5>\n<p class=\"display-card-excerpt\">They may take 80 hours, but fans will want to sink another 80 hours in after completing these JRPGs. <\/p>\n<p>In each game, players find gear that lets them use different abilities in battle, a hybrid between action and turn-based combat systems. Battles are fought from an over-the-head third-person perspective, which makes them feel a bit more modern than the <em>Mega Man Battle Network<\/em> games. Whether players enjoy every game in the collection or just one, fans are going to have a mega time with this one.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ys-memoire-revelations-in-celceta\">\n                        Ys Memoire: Revelations In Celceta<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"a-top-down-adventure\">\n            A Top-Down Adventure<br \/>\n    <\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>Ys Memoire: Revelations in Celceta<\/em><\/strong> was originally released as <em>Ys: Memories of Celceta<\/em> on the PS Vita in 2013 for North American players, with this new version heading to the Switch at the end of April 2026. Like every entry in the <em>Ys<\/em> series, this game is an action JRPG starring series protagonist Adol Christin. Unlike a lot of entries, though, this game has a lot of other playable party members.<\/p>\n<p>Players roam around maps while fighting monsters and traversing dungeons, without much variety beyond that. It was a simple game on the PS Vita, but also deeply satisfying, and the Switch version should be rewarding too.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"tales-of-arise---beyond-the-dawn-edition\">\n                        Tales Of Arise &#8211; Beyond The Dawn Edition<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"the-man-in-the-iron-mask\">\n            The Man In The Iron Mask<br \/>\n    <\/h3>\n<p><em>Tales of Arise<\/em> was released for all major platforms, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox systems, in 2021, which seems baffling in retrospect now, as there hasn\u2019t been a <span style=\"box-sizing:border-box; margin:0px; padding:0px\">new <em>Tales<\/em><\/span><em> of <\/em>entry since then. Regardless of that, Switch 2 players are going to get their hands on the latest game in May with enhanced features and additional content in <strong><em>Tales of Arise &#8211; Beyond the Dawn Edition<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The core gameplay will remain intact, featuring action fought with four party members at a time, who can be swapped between in the thick of it. By forming links, players can combine their powers to create devastating combos in flashy combat across a wide, colorful world of magic, making <em>Tales of Arise<\/em> one of the best entries in the series in ages.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-adventures-of-elliot-the-millennium-tales\">\n                        The Adventures Of Elliot: The Millennium Tales<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"hd-2d-zelda\">\n            HD-2D Zelda<br \/>\n    <\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales<\/em><\/strong> is the next HD-2D experience coming out of Square Enix. However, instead of a turn-based game like <em>Octopath Traveler<\/em>, this will be an action-adventure RPG with time-traveling elements.<\/p>\n<p>Presented from a top-down perspective, players can travel around an overworld and through dungeons, fighting enemies in real time with a variety of weapons, tools, and a fairy companion. The game currently has a live demo on the Switch 2 for anyone curious to check it out, and it is currently planning to release in mid-June.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"granblue-fantasy-relink---endless-ragnarok\">\n                        Granblue Fantasy: Relink &#8211; Endless Ragnarok<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"a-sky-based-dungeon-crawler\">\n            A Sky-Based Dungeon-Crawler<br \/>\n    <\/h3>\n<p><em>Granblue Fantasy: Relink<\/em> was originally released in 2024 for the PC, PS4, and PS5, and this new version, <strong><em>Granblue Fantasy: Relink &#8211; Endless Ragnarok<\/em><\/strong>, is coming to the Switch 2 in July. Like <em>Tales of Arise\u2019s <\/em>expansion, this new version will have new gameplay tweaks and content, which will be a bonus for returning players and newbies alike.<\/p>\n<p>                    <span data-field=\"label\" class=\"article-card-label\">Related<\/span><\/p>\n<h5 class=\"display-card-title \">\n<p>\t\t\tStrongest JRPG Protagonists of All Time, Ranked<\/p>\n<\/h5>\n<p class=\"display-card-excerpt\">It&#8217;s not just about swords or basic magic with these JRPG protagonists who hold godlike levels of power.<\/p>\n<p>The core game is an action JRPG with great anime-inspired visuals, frantic action with lots of chaining abilities together, and a cool design between the dungeons and floating areas. Plus, there is an online co-op mode to dive into that features separate dungeons, which will be present in the Switch 2 version as well. This version will also have local co-op.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"echoes-of-aincrad\">\n                        Echoes Of Aincrad<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"an-anime-spinoff\">\n            An Anime Spinoff<br \/>\n    <\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>Echoes of Aincrad<\/em><\/strong> takes place within the <em>Sword Art Online<\/em> universe, which started as a Light Novel series before becoming a legendary anime. The plot of the first season involves players jumping into an MMO and getting trapped there for real. This game takes place before that event in the beta session, and then it will merge into the main storyline of getting caught online.<\/p>\n<p>Those who die in the MMO die in real life, so the stakes are high, although players who die within the context of this video game aren\u2019t doomed. Players can explore this high-quality action RPG come July for systems like PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X\/S.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"decapolice\">\n                        Decapolice<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"a-detective-rpg\">\n            A Detective RPG<br \/>\n    <\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>Decapolice<\/em> <\/strong>is being developed by Level-5, and there haven\u2019t been many updates for it in a while, which is odd because the company just had a big stream about their upcoming games. It has been pushed several times already, but right now the website still lists 2026 as its release window. Whether it makes the window or not, RPG fans know Level-5 takes its time to put out memorable games.<\/p>\n<p>This one features a big open city to explore as a detective.
