Essentially, Konami is releasing two versions of the game. Its base availability, which is already out, is a free-to-play baseball simulation game supported by microtransactions. This is a permanent version of the game, while its official release date remains July 15, 2026. At that time, players will be able to purchase a premium version of this free-to-play game that is essentially a starter boost package with more content added as well.

                    Related

Silent Hill is On a Generational Run That Doesn’t Seem to Be Slowing Down

The revival of the Silent Hill franchise has been nothing short of impressive, and with another release slated for 2026, shows no signs of slowing.

eBaseBall: Pro Spirit 2026 is a Free-to-Play Game with a Paid Premium Version on Steam

The TLDR version is eBaseball: Pro Spirit 2026 is a free-to-play game that will “officially” release on July 15 with an optional, premium purchase of the game, which essentially serves as a head start. Microtransactions and all other forms of monetization remain for the baseball simulation game once the premium package is officially released. And despite the confusing pre-release and release packaging of the game, it’s obviously attracted a fanbase.

For those unfamiliar, eBaseball: Pro Spirit 2026 focuses on a realistic stadium experience with immersive player animations, ball physics, and crowd audio. It wants to feel like a real baseball game, and it allows players to build a roster, compete in competitive matches, and otherwise enjoy simple, yet effective baseball simulation gameplay. Steam reviews of the game praise its mechanics, especially compared to baseball rivals like MLB The Show. The bones feel really strong, with pitching, hinting, and gameplay overall seeing some fan acclaim. Where there are some mixed reviews is in its game mode offerings and progression systems, in missing game modes and issues with World Championship specifically, which will grow in time.

Fit the 9 games into the grid.

              Start

Pick a tile to place a game.

Time: 00:00

              Hint

            New

              Submit

Fit the 9 games into the grid.

Start

Criteria Grid
Pick a tile to place a game.

Time: 00:00

HintNewSubmit

            Konami Fans Are Happy?

What’s interesting about this pre-release reception, which is a technicality when breaking down how release dates actually work and how they are marketed to games, is the general goodwill. Obviously, Konami went through a bit of a slump where its games really did not meet audience expectations, and it kind of faded into the background for a while there. Baseball simulation games are not going to be what a solid portion of Konami’s fanbase knows it for, but if a specific niche within its fanbase is happy, hopefully that attention and momentum carry on elsewhere.

Guess the games from the emojis.

                  Easy (120s)
Medium (90s)
Hard (60s)

                Start

Gamoji

Guess the game from the emojis.

Guess the games from the emojis.

Easy (120s)Medium (90s)Hard (60s)Start

Gamoji

Guess the game from the emojis.

Konami released Silent Hill f to positive reviews in 2025, as well as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and a handful of other games. 2026 has seen the release of the Super Bomberman Collection and Darwin’s Paradox already, with MGS Master Collection Vol. 2, Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse, and Silent Hill: Townfall all having 2026 release windows.
