The 2002 <em>Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex<\/em> adaptation ran over 50 episodes, but fans are expecting something much briefer this time around.<\/p>\n<p>The synopsis reads:<\/p>\n<p>The year is 2029, A near-future Japan, where the world has become highly information-intensive, with a vast corporate network covering the planet, electrons and light pulsing through it. But the nation-state and ethnic groups still survive.<\/p>\n<p>Motoko Kusanagi, a full-body cyborg, leads an elite combat unit of fellow cyborgs, including Batou. While commanding her team, Kusanagi envisions the creation of a specialized task force to preemptively strike against emerging threats. Meanwhile, Daisuke Aramaki of the Ministry of Home Affairs, who had been planning to establish a similar unit, scouts Kusanagi and her team.<\/p>\n<h2>Is <em>Gears of War E-Day<\/em> coming out by September?<\/h2>\n<p>That\u2019s what some fans are speculating because of a new WWE sponsorship. As Insider Gaming reports, it was announced over the weekend that AAA Triplemania would be taking place on September 11 and September 13. <em>Gears of War: E-Day<\/em> will also be a sponsor for the event, suggesting the game could be coming out around that time.
