eFootball 2026 hasn’t held back when it comes to player content this season. Between flashy Epic cards, high-impact Show Time releases, and a growing list of Big Time stars, the game is packed with options for every kind of playstyle.

One position that’s become especially crowded is the attacking midfield role. New AMFs keep arriving in different packs, each promising creativity, control, and match-winning influence. With so many choices available, figuring out which players actually shine in competitive matches isn’t as straightforward as it used to be.

To cut through the noise, here’s a clear-cut ranking of the Top 10 Best Attacking Midfielders (AMF) currently available in eFootball 2026.

This ranking includes players from all card rarities, with no artificial limits or exclusions. The focus is purely on midfielders who are most effective in an advanced central role and deliver in the final third.

Only players who naturally fit the AMF mold have been considered, prioritizing playstyles like Creative Playmaker, Hole Player, and Classic No. 10. While some cards can technically be deployed at AMF, wide attackers and deeper midfielders that don’t fully suit the role have been left out.

Most importantly, the list reflects the current gameplay meta, meaning effectiveness, responsiveness, and in-game impact matter more than name value. As balance updates and new releases roll in, expect these rankings to change over time.

    1. Pavel Nedvěd

Nedved, as an AMF, is simply a joy to use, and that’s something that has carried over from his older cards as well. This version just takes it a step further. The Phenomenal Pass and Phenomenal Finishing combo suits him perfectly in the attacking third, because he’s constantly involved in both creating and finishing moves.

As a Hole Player, he finds space very naturally and links play extremely well. His ball control feels clean, quick turns come easily, and those long-range shots still have that trademark punch when you line them up. He also has no issues with pace or stamina, so he keeps pushing forward throughout the match.

    2. Kaká

Kaká is this high in the AMF rankings because of how direct he is. Once he gets the ball, he moves the game forward immediately. He carries the ball into attacking areas and puts pressure on the defence straight away. Another reason why I had him up high in the SS rankings as well.

He’s quick, strong enough to handle contact, and very comfortable driving through the middle. As an AMF, he creates chances simply by moving with the ball and pulling defenders out of position. From the games I’ve played with him, this is the kind of Creative Playmaker who suits fast, aggressive attacking setups.

    3. Eden Hazard

Hazard earns this spot in the AMF rankings because of how easy he feels on the ball. The moment you start using him, it’s clear this is peak Chelsea-era Hazard feels. His dribbling is top-tier in-game, and you really feel it when cutting inside or changing direction under pressure.

He’s very hard to dispossess, and with a decent physical build, he doesn’t get pushed off the ball easily either. Shooting is reliable as well, so when he gets into the box, he can finish chances. A very strong card, and if you can use it, I would suggest the Hole Player Epic National Attackers version.

    4. Michel Platini

Platini finds himself in the AMF rankings as well, and that’s not really a surprise. While he shines as a second striker, his game naturally suits a central creative role too. He’s comfortable sitting between midfield and attack, receiving the ball, and deciding what happens next.

As an AMF, he offers a lot of control in the final third. He’s not about constant forward runs, but about timing and positioning. He can carry the ball, pick passes, or take shots when space opens up. If you prefer an AMF who keeps things composed, Platini fits very well in this spot.

    5. Lionel Messi

    • Card Version: Big Time New Year
    • Playing Style: Creative Playmaker

Messi appears in the AMF rankings as well, even though he’s arguably at his best as a second striker. That said, playing him at AMF puts him up against much stronger competition, which is why he lands here rather than higher.

As an AMF, he still offers unmatched ball carrying, super incredible in tight spaces, can beat players with ease, and create chances without much buildup. However, compared to his SS role, where he has more freedom closer to the goal, the AMF position demands more balance in all phases, especially passing. Even so, Messi remains a top-tier option here, just in a more competitive category.

    6. Johan Cruyff

While I ranked the Deep-Lying Forward version higher in the SS list, this Hole Player World Classics Cruyff earns his place in the AMF rankings as well. Even with just a single Show Time skill, this is still a very strong card, and one that feels effortless to use in central areas.

Cruyff has always been one of those players who makes the game feel smoother, and this version has splendid dribbling, tight control, and ball movement. His control means he rarely loses the ball anyway. He can play multiple roles up top, but as an AMF, he offers creativity, movement, and finishing in a very clean package, which is why he sits right here in my rankings.

    7. Andres Iniesta

Iniesta is exactly what you’d expect from a Hole Player AMF: smooth, intelligent, and always comfortable on the ball. His movement into space feels natural, and with Momentum Dribbling, carrying the ball through midfield and into attacking zones feels effortless.

Even though his finishing numbers don’t jump off the page, he still manages to score when chances fall his way. He feels calm in possession and rarely wastes the ball. Once he gets going, it’s genuinely hard to knock him off balance, especially if you give him a bit of physical presence in the build.

    8. Neymar Jr

Neymar earns this spot because of how effective he is when used close to the goal. He’s not a traditional AMF card, but when positioned higher up the pitch, his dribbling and acceleration make him hard to contain. The Hole Player playstyle lets him move into space and be that scoring threat, too.

He avoids physical battles by moving quickly and changing direction, and once he gets a bit of room, he can create or score without much buildup. The only reason he sits a little lower is because of non-passing Show Time skills or end-game cards like Messi’s.

    9. Zico

Zico is a very technical player who thrives when given space around the edge of the box, rather than operating all over the midfield. As an AMF, he contributes through ball control, passing, and the ability to take shots from outside the area.

That playstyle is of good help to have the freedom to roam around and create plays. He’s comfortable linking play and keeping attacks alive, but once again, compared to the top, he doesn’t have raw stats or Show Time skills to be ranked above.

    10 (1). Roberto Baggio

Baggio sits lower in the AMF rankings mainly because of how he’s meant to be used. This version plays deeper than his older cards and feels more suited to controlling the final third rather than constantly attacking the box.

eFootball 2026 Italian League Attackers Baggio (Image via KONAMI)

He’s very smooth on the ball and reliable when operating between the lines. If you like slower buildup and keeping possession in tight areas, Baggio fits that style well. Phenomenal Pass helps a lot in this position, and he works best behind a strong CF where he can create as well as try hit long rangers.

    10 (2). Ruud Gullit

Gullit also finds himself in the AMF rankings tied with Baggio, even though most players will naturally prefer him higher up the pitch. As an AMF, he still brings a lot to the table, mainly because of how active he is without the ball and how much ground he covers.

eFootball 2026 Epic AC Milan Gullit (Image via KONAMI)

In this role, he’s less about controlling the tempo and more about arriving late and supporting attacks. He can carry the ball forward, get into scoring positions, and add physical presence around the box. Another reason behind his bottom-five ranking is stamina, which I feel is lacking for this role.
