    • eFootball 2026 roadmap hints at major updates leading into the 2027 season.
    • Master League is finally returning, with its first reveal expected around April 2026.
    • The 9th anniversary campaign is likely planned alongside World Cup-themed campaign.

eFootball 2026 is slowly picking up the pace mid-year, with so much to come. With multiple updates, long-awaited features, and major seasonal content on the horizon, the coming months could be crucial for the franchise.

While there hasn’t been an official announcement about things to come, we have an outline, however, about what to expect. Based on the same, here’s a possible roadmap for eFootball 2026 leading up to the 2027 release.

v5.4.0 update and Master League (April 2026)

April is expected to begin with a major global update, likely Version 5.4.0, setting the tone for the months ahead. However, the biggest highlight during this period is easily the return of Master League.

As announced earlier, Master League is finally coming back to the eFootball franchise. KONAMI confirmed this during the eFootball CONNECT: Spotlight Interview in February 2026, putting an end to years of waiting from the community.

The mode had been one of the biggest missing features since the transition from PES to eFootball, and the first proper reveal is expected to happen through an in-game event around April, so this update phase and the reveal are something we are expected to have so much fun with.

    9th Anniversary Celebrations (May 2026)

There are discussions surrounding eFootball celebrating its 9th anniversary, starting all the way from its PES franchise mobile games. The franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and we have seen so many legends coming in.

So I wouldn’t expect a major arrival around this time, though, but anniversary events always get us some free rewards, so something similar might arrive as per the old event and campaign patterns.

World Cup campaign (June to July 2026)

The mid-year window could revolve around a World Cup-themed campaign. This period is expected to feature one of the more significant content drops of the year, because historically, it has been the case.

    Possible eFootball Roadmap 👀

    💠eFootball 27 in August??

There may be a major gameplay update during this time, alongside global tournaments and event-based challenges that center around the World Cup. This would likely be accompanied by themed 1500-coin packs, which might bring a single Epic card also into the mix.

August is expected to bring the transition into the next phase of the game with the eFootball 2027 update, as the v5.0.0 update for eFootball 2026 was around the same time. This period should introduce updated squads, transfers, gameplay improvements, and maybe even new card types, along with potential new licenses and features.

As of now, nothing has been confirmed, and we are just waiting and anticipating what might come with the update. The update may also build upon features introduced earlier in the year, including further developments to modes like Master League, depending on how its rollout progresses.
