Publisher Hooded Horse and developer Unfrozen have revealed the release date for upcoming fantasy turn-based strategy game Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, and the game is coming sooner than you might think.
As announced in a brand new trailer (as well as in a Steam blog post), Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will be arriving in Early Access on April 30th. It’s the first mainline installment in the series in more than ten years.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era‘s Early Access release will include quite a lot of content at the outset; you can look forward to six factions, as well as a full tutorial and the first act of the game’s campaign, along with several game modes and even online multiplayer.
Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era launches at the end of the month.
Naturally, since this is an Early Access release, more will be added over the course of the game’s development. Unfrozen and Hooded Horse say they’re planning to stay in Early Access “for a year, but that could change” depending on what needs to be done to address player feedback.
First announced all the way back in 2024, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is the next mainline installment in the Heroes of Might and Magic series, which began with 1995’s eponymous title.
Prior to Olden Era, the last major release in the franchise was 2015’s Heroes of Might and Magic VII, although Unfrozen and Hooded Horse have opted to refrain from using a number to title this one.
