It feels a little later than usual, but Sony has finally revealed the monthly games that PlayStation Plus subscribers of all tiers will have access to this April. Three titles are on offer, with only one of them available on both PS4 and PS5. It’s a bad month if you’ve only got access to a PS4, then – and even PS5 owners might be a little disappointed.

The highlight of the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games selection this April is undoubtedly Lords of the Fallen. Support for the game has been brilliant since launch, making various tweaks until it’s as good as it possibly could be, making it a must-play for Soulslike fans. We thoroughly enjoyed it when it played it for review at launch, stating “With its stunning visuals and unique mechanics, Lords of the Fallen has quickly become one of our favourite Soulslikes.” A sequel, Lords of the Fallen 2, is set to launch later this year.

Next up is Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, which is the only game available on both PS4 and PS5 this month. Bunding up the original trilogy of Tomb Raider games and giving them a bit of a makeover, it’s a treat for retro fans, but newcomers may struggle with the game’s now awkward controls even using the ‘Modern’ option. Still, it’s worth adding to your library in case you ever want to explore the origins of the series. Plus, it’s always fun trapping Lara’s butler in the larder.

The last game available to PlayStation Plus subscribers this April is Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream. This entry in the popular Sword Art Online series features a brand new single-player story, but it’s primarily designed as a multiplayer game, allowing players to team up with others in order to complete raids, undertake quests and simply free-roam. It won’t be for everyone, but those who enjoy some co-op action might want to give it a download.

All of these games will be available for PlayStation Plus subscribers of all tiers to add to their libraries and download from 7th April. That means there’s still nearly a week for players to check out March’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games if they haven’t done so already, which include the brilliant Monster Hunter Rise.
