April 2026 is turning out to be a mega month in the Pokémon Trading Card Game calendar. Players will be able to get their hands on two new releases from the Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes expansion when they drop on April 24, 2026. Whether you prefer volume pack opening, or love collecting rare promos, there’s something for everyone with these two new products.

The first release is a brand new Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle. If you’ve been struggling to get your hands on Pokémon’s recent Trading Card Game set, this could be your lucky day!

Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution – Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle

Each Booster Bundle comes with six booster packs, each including 10 cards, 1 Basic Energy, and 1 Pokémon TCG Live code card. That’s right – Trainers’ Pokémon and Stellar Tera Pokémon ex join returning and newly discovered Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, including new illustration rare and special rare cards to collect.

If you want to pick up the Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle on 24 April 2026, you’d best be quick. Ascended Heroes has been flying off the shelves. Your best bet is always the official Pokémon Center for MSRP – $23.94.

Preorders aren’t currently live here, so keep checking back. You can also find pre-order listings at reputable third-party reseller TCGPlayer, but the cheapest is currently $102.95 + $29.99 shipping.

The second new Ascended Heroes product, later this month, is technically three products. You can get three new Mega ex Boxes, each focusing on Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s partner Pokémon. Who will you choose? Each collection features a stunning foil promo card starring one of three new Mega Evolutions of Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Partner Pokémon – Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, or Mega Feraligatr ex.

Visually, these cards are a treat for long-time collectors. The vibrant, jagged energy lines bouncing out of the frame remind me of the iconic M Pokémon-EX from the XY Series, or the more recent Mega Evolution Special Illustration Rares designed by Saboteri. Whether you’re currently exploring the sectors of Lumiose City in Pokémon Legends: Z-A or you’re finally grinding out the post-game Battle Royale to pick up Mega Floette for the jump to Pokémon Champions, these promos are gorgeous additions to any binder.

Beyond their looks, Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, and Mega Feraligatr ex all pack a punch. Each boasts devastating attacks designed to work perfectly with existing cards from their respective evolution chains. Blossoming with new power, Mega Meganium ex presents your opponent’s Pokémon with a Giant Bouquet filled with massive damage. Surrounded by flames, Mega Emboar ex lets loose a Crimson Blast to devastate your opponent. And with gnashing teeth and claws, Mega Feraligatr ex targets your opponent’s weakened Pokémon with a Mortal Crunch.

You’ll also get one oversize lenticular promo card featuring Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, or Mega Feraligatr ex. While fan opinion on these oversized cards is split, seeing as you’d need the biggest binder known to man to fit one, it’s still a nice to have. The real prize is the four Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs inside.

While you can wait for pre-orders to go live at the Pokemon Center, Amazon has just restocked pre-orders for these collections at $36.99. It’s worth noting you can’t pick your Partner Pokémon here – you’ll receive, at random, one Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes ex box featuring either Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, or Mega Feraligatr ex. Individual selection is not available.

While smaller additions to the Pokémon Trading Card Game 2026 release calendar, these two launches are set to curb the out of control hype for Ascended Heroes. Will you be picking up one of these expansions?
