Xbox has updated its list of upcoming releases for 2026, which has resulted in Fable—one of the company’s most anticipated titles—being pushed back to February 2027.
The announcement was made via their X account (formerly Twitter), where he noted that 2026 “is packed with incredible games for Xbox players to enjoy,” and that Favble will be moved so that “it can have the dedicated moment it deserves.”

It had previously been announced earlier this year that Fable would arrive in fall 2026, but as noted in the Xbox post, two other games would have stolen the spotlight from it at that time: the recently announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Grand Theft Auto VI.
A glimpse into the future of Xbox is coming soon
For now, we have a date with Xbox this coming Sunday, June 7, when it will host its Xbox Games Showcase as part of Summer Game Fest. The showcase will feature “first looks at gameplay and major announcements regarding upcoming titles from our first-party studios across the Xbox family, as well as our third-party partners around the globe—from the biggest franchises to soon-to-be indie darlings.”

We’ll surely see more information on upcoming titles like Halo: Campaign Evolved and the aforementioned Call of Duty. Following that, the Gears of War: E-Day Direct presentation will begin.
