Summer Game Fest 2026 is the main attraction of the Not-E3 season. (Something I’m sure Geoff Keighley quite enjoys.) The opening showcase is two hours of new game reveals, updates on upcoming titles and announcements, including release dates. Personally I’m hoping for a look at Okami 2, but, let’s be honest, that’s highly unlikely. If you missed the show or fancy a rundown of every announcement, then you’ll find all of the featured games and their trailers down below.

Resident Evil Veronica
We became Summer Game Fest 2026 with a snowy trip to Paris, but not a romantic one by far. Instead of a romantic trip, however, we soon find ourselves kidnapped to some nasty place in the woods. Matters were soon clarified when the game was revealed to be Resident Evil Veronica! That’s right, we’re getting a new Resident Evil remake.
Resident Evil Veronica will be released in 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.

New Cuphead Game and Mighty Cuphead Adventure
Who had a new Cuphead game on their Summer Game Fest bingo card? Well if you did, you must have been happy when that puppet appeared on screen. Outside of the fact that it exists, much about the game still remains a mystery but hopefully we’ll learn more soon. Though it will be handdrawn!
The Studio MDHR news didn’t stop there though! We got a short look at Mighty Cuphead Adventure. This is a new 8-bit action platformer coming to consoles and PC sometimes in the future.

Alien Isolation 2
Next we were taken to a stormy planet for the reveal of Alien Isolation 2! Looks like we have more science-fiction horror awaiting us when the Aliens return to lay their eggs in our stomachs. It will hurt, but man that game looks amazing.
Alien Isolation 2 will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.

Gen Atlas
Gen Atlas is the next game from Fumito Ueda, the creator of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian. So, you know, just a few very popular games. Originally revealed during The Game Awards 2024, we finally got our first proper look at gen Atlas!
In Gen Altas, you’ll travel across a mysterious planet where the silence feels never ending. The landscape is decorated with odd structures and abandoned buildings. Eventually you’ll meet a robot, but this encounter will only cause this planet’s secrets to grow as you travel to new regions.
Gen Altas will be released on PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Blood Message
From distant planets to the China of old, Blood Message is a new single player action-adventure game. You’ll play as a messenger travelling with your son on a dangerous mission where the events always seem to be stacked against you.

Stranger Than Heaven
If you’re looking for a new game set in Japan and starring Tupac, then look no further than Stranger Than Heaven. Oh and Snoop Dogg! To actually talk about the game, this is a new third-person action adventure where you’ll take on the role of Makoto Daito. Set across five different locations across five different eras, you’ll find yourself working as a showman and organising different musical events but good tunes aren’t the only thing you’ll have to deal with.
Stranger Than Heaven will be released on 15th January 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Haex
Haex is an upcoming open world action adventure game set in a place called the Wild North. The twist? This is a procedural world, so who knows where it will take you. Well hunting (and running away) from monsters alongside other players certainly seems to be one place. Though the trailer also hinted at some interesting puzzle sections too. (And an angry wall.)
Haex will be released on PC in 2027.
Dead by Daylight
The tenth anniversary of Dead by Daylight is approaching and Summer Game Fest brought us a suitably creepy trailer to mark the event. I don’t think I’m going to enjoy hearing people wish me happy birthday anytime soon…
Dead by Daylight’s tenth anniversary will begin on 14th June 2026 at 8pm (ET).
Mortal Shell II
Next up came a bit of medieval fantasy with the reveal that the open beta for Mortal Shell II is live! If you’ve ever wanted to kill monsters with a lute, then check out this game on PC.
Sand Raiders of Sophie
Not going to lie, I honestly thought this was Wild Wild West The Game for a second. Come tell me that house didn’t look like the robot spider from that movie! (And I don’t care about spoilers, the movie came out in 1999.) Instead, this was the trailer for Sand Raiders of Sophie where you’ll create a steampunk-esc house car to travel through the desert and fight off enemies.
Sand Raiders of Sophie will be released on 10th June 2026 on PC, with the server slam being open now.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
Next up some pirate assassin action when Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced arrived on our screens. We even got to enjoy a nice little sea shanty too. If you fancy reliving this Assassin’s Creed remake, then you can play Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced when it’s released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on 9th July 2026.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin
Inspired by the graphic novel of the same name, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin is a far darker look at the normally colourful and comedic turtles. (It also harkens back to the TMNT’s origins of being a parody for comics in the 1980s, taking inspiration from Daredevil and the X-Men.)
Developed by Platinum Games, the creators of Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden 4, this game will see you stepping into the shell of a lone turtle as he seeks vengeance for this lost family. There’s not going to be many pizza jokes in this one…
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin will be released on consoles and PC.

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3
It was Fortnite time in Summer Game Fest next. I don’t need to tell you what Fortnite is, so let’s just say that the trailer gave us a look at Chapter 7 Season 3, Runners, which will launch later tonight. This new season introduces a new mechanic called Spites. These are glowy little dudes who offer different power ups if collected. John Wick is also back and we got a sneak peek at the Fortnite Shattered end-of-season event.

Gundam Rogue Orbit
If you’re a fan of huge robots beating up monsters and sometimes other giant robots, then Gundam Rogue Orbit is for you! From Bandai Namco, this game will see you getting in the robot just like Shinji to save humanity.
Gundam Rogue Orbit will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam in 2027.

An Eggstreamely Hard Game
Taking a different approach to this bird than Untitled Goose Game, An Eggstreamely Hard Game is all about avoiding obstacles and keeping your egg safe.
An Eggstreamely Hard Game will be released 24th July 2026 for PC.

Crossfire
Crossfire is a new third-person tactical action-adventure, with a mixture of stealth and action. It also has a strong narrative edge following two rival operators who are forced to work together. What might truly interest you, however, is the Adaptive Cover mechanic. This cover system changes your stance in response to both the terrain and the enemies around you, allowing you to stay hidden for longer.
Crossfire will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Control Resonant
We didn’t get to see Sam Lake dance (that’s more of a Game Awards thing), but we did get a trailer for Control Resonant! It’s time to return to the FBC and this time you’ll be playing as Dylan Faden – brother of Jesse Faden, the protagonist of the original Control game. Resonant will really make you question whether the FBC are actually good at their jobs or if they just like poking the supernatural a little too much, because something has escaped their headquarters and Manhattan is not enjoying the results.
As a massive fan of the original game, I can’t wait for Control Resonant to be released on 24th September 2026 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Guild Wars 3
Guild Wars 3 has been announced! It’s been 14 years since ArenaNet released Guild Wars 2, but the sequel has finally arrived. I’ve always wanted to give Guild Wars a try – partly because I love MMOs, but mostly because I remember seeing the original game in PCWorld. (Though I doubt it will steal my heart from RuneScape.) The trailer gave us a good look at the world, which looks magical, and some of the creatures who make their home there.
Guild Wars 3 will be released on PC and PlayStation 5, with the beta beginning in Autumn 2027.

Star Wars Galactic Racer
Whether you like it or not, it’s podracing time! If you’re ready for one of the most violent sports in a galaxy far far away, then make sure you’re prepared for Star Wars Galactic Racer. I think I even spotted Sebulba from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace too. If
Star Wars Galactic Racer will be released on 6th October 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

End of Abyss
After going to a galaxy far far away, it was time to venture deep beneath the sea in End of Abyss. In this game, the sea holds many horrors (just like in real life) so you best be prepared if you fancy swimming in these waters.
End of Abyss will be released on 1st October 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Last Harbor
From swimming beneath the waves to sailing across them, Last Harbor was the next game in Summer Game Fest. Though even the land isn’t safe as this trailer proves, with crusty enemies hunting you down.
Last Harbor will be released on PC.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads
Sega has brought live back to another classic with Virtua Fighter Crossroads. This fighting game is the sixth installment in the series and the first in nearly twenty years! Will you be able to defeat every opponent who dares cross your path?
Virtua Fighter Crossroads will be released in 2027 for consoles and PCs.

RuneScape Dragonwilds
If you know anything about me dear reader, it’s most likely that I love RuneScape. A lot. So I’ll try to spare you and keep this brief. (Even though you should really give RuneScape a shot if you haven’t played before.)
RuneScape Dragonwilds is Jagex’s survival crafting game that was released in early access on PC last year and now it’s coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 15th September 2026. It will also be available on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium from launch. Fancy travelling to Ashenfall, a forgotten continent in Gielinor? Fancy levelling up skills and exploring different regions? Fancy slaying dragons? Then Dragonwilds is for you and a group of friends if they fancy joining you. (I also wasn’t expecting Geoff Keighley to reference the Falador Massacre…)

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales
It was then time for Nintendo to take the stage! (Or at least the Nintendo section of the showcase.) The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is the latest action RPG coming from Square Enix and Claytechworks. It will be released soon – 18th June to be exact – on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Orbitals
Orbitals is a co-op space adventure where you need to traverse different levels by working together. It will be arriving on Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2026.
Starseeker: Astroneer Expedition
s
Keeping to the space theme, we got a look at Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions next. This game will have you working alongside friends to complete planet-wide missions before venturing off to a new location.
Starseeker: Astroneer Expeditions will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 on 11th June 2026.
Soulframe Preludes
Soulframe is an upcoming free-to-play MMORPG, which looks to be a mixture of dark fantasy and science-fiction. The trailer itself gave us a little look at the combat and some shots of a really cool wolf.
Soulframe Preludes is the games pre-alpha and you join now.

Grounded 2 Into The Abyss
It’s time to get small with a look at the upcoming update for Grounded 2. It’s titled Into The Abyss and looks like it’s going to be adding a host of new creatures, including one angry lizard.
Grounded 2 Into The Abyss will be released on 11th August 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PC and PlayStation 5.
Mafia The Old Country Man of Honor
Next up, we got a short teaser trailer for the upcoming story expansion for Mafia The Old Country. The expansion is called Man of Honor and the teaser really didn’t give much away!
Mafia The Old Country Man of Honor will be released on 14th August 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
More to come…
Hope you enjoyed this year’s Summer Game Fest!
