Though Last Orders, the second DLC for massive Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London, is taking longer than Team FOLON originally planned, the modders have revealed that their next game is running ahead of schedule. The two are being worked on at the time as the group use their ambitious building of a British apocalypse atop Bethesda’s Boston as a springboard into establishing themselves as a professional indie studio.
In the first announcement post rounding up what Team FOLON have going on since the calendar flipped over to 2026, Team FOLON lead Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter outlined that Fallout: London’s Last Orders DLC still isn’t quite ready to go. He reiterated that the free add-on is being worked on by a skeleton crew and has been impacted by some unavoidable personal matters and behind-the-scenes hurdles.
“We are still chugging along though, work hasn’t stopped,” the lead concluded. “We’re still making progress and doing everything we can to move things forward as quickly as possible.” As much as I’m keen to accidentally turn my sky purple again, take as much time as you need FOLONners.
Interestingly, the mysterious new game the group are working on alongside the DLC sounds like it’s fared a lot better over the first half of 2026. Carter wrote that its development’s not only “going swimmingly”, but that the game’s “much further along than we originally planned, which has been incredibly exciting for the team”. “I can say that we’re really proud of how it’s shaping up so far,” he added. “And while we’re not quite ready to lift the curtain just yet, we genuinely can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on when the time is right!”
Given it’s the group’s first foray into indie game development rather than a modding sequel odds are this mysterious game, which the group previously announced is being made in the Unreal engine, won’t be anything directly Fallouty. That’s not to say it doesn’t have a chance to share broader themes with Fallout, such as being set after the apocalypse, but from what Team FOLON have said, they’re very much keen to spread their wings and create things they can truly call their own.
