The Intel Gamer Days Sale, an annual event hosted by Intel, starts now and runs through September 13. The most notable deal during this event is the two free upcoming AAA games that come with an eligible gaming PC or laptop purchase – Star Wars: Galactic Racer, out on October 6, and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, out on February 12 next year. Upon purchase, you’ll receive instructions to claim a download voucher that can be redeemed once these games launch. This promotion is available at a number of participating retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, and Newegg, but currently some of the best ongoing deals on PCs and laptops can be found at Walmart.

The Intel Core Ultra 5 250KF is a very recent 2026 refresh of Arrow Lake. It features 18 total cores and a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz. This is an excellent gaming chip and upgrading to a Core Ultra 7 or 9 will not yield you any noticeable benefits in games.
The GeForce RTX 5070 GPU is an excellent choice for 1080p or 1440p gaming
The GeForce RTX 5070 is the best Nvidia card for 1080p and 1440p gaming and by itself this card retails for $600 (although generally it’s higher these days). It’s also powerful enough to run most games at 4K, although at that point you’ll see noticeable gains jumping up to a 5070 Ti. Compared to the previous generation GPUs, the RTX 5070 offers a slight performance improvement over the RTX 4070 Super, which was and still is an excellent GPU.
