JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit or GS in short, is a new RPG that brings the iconic world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure to your mobile screens. This new game by Wanda Cinemas Games brings together lots of fan-favorite characters from the series and lets players build teams of JoJos and Stand users before throwing them into action-packed 3D battles.

However, don’t let the cool Stand attacks and the familiar faces fool you into thinking there’s no depth to this game. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS has multiple systems that give the game more depth than what meets the eye. Therefore, understanding these systems early can make a huge difference.

This JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS Beginners Guide will walk you through the fundamentals and give you several useful tips for a better experience. Also, don’t forget to check out our Redeem Codes article for free rewards.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS Gameplay Basics

    Combat Overview

The combat in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS revolves around strategically assembling a team of characters and using that team to fight against different enemies. Each battle has different objectives that can range from defeating every enemy on the field to taking down the field boss and more. Also, each character takes a tile position that affects the flow of combat.

By that we mean that before starting the battle, players can inspect the battlefield and see how enemies are expected to move or attack. Melee enemies are indicated with red arrows, while ranged enemies use dotted lines to show where they will attack. This information allows players to adjust their formation before the fight begins.

Also, the characters in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS have different attributes ranging from Defence, Assault, Agility, Ranged, Special, and Support. These attributes influence how characters perform depending on their position and situation. Once the battle starts, your characters will fight automatically. However, players still have to activate their characters’ Ultimate abilities.

    Characters and Team Building

One of the biggest attractions of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS, especially for longtime fans, is its roster of memorable characters. And the characters available can be used by players to build teams featuring their favorite characters. So players can experiment with different characters as much as they want without any restrictions.

Also, each character in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS brings different unique abilities and combat characteristics. So picking a character whose abilities complement the rest of your team is much more valuable than another powerful unit that doesn’t fit your formation.

    Understanding the rush mode

One mechanic every beginner should understand from the get-go is Rush mode. Rather than simply activating every Ultimate as soon as it recharges, players can strategically activate three Ultimate abilities belonging to characters with different attributes to deal more damage. When players successfully activate three different Ultimates at the same time, Rush mode activates. This provides a 25% damage bonus and also slightly restores the characters’ energy.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks to Remember

    1. Claim your free rewards

First and foremost, collect every free reward available to you before spending your resources. Launch rewards can provide useful items such as Astro Gems, coins, summon items, and characters, giving you a valuable head start.

Once you’ve collected your rewards, use your free summons and inspect the characters you receive. Don’t immediately start investing in everyone. Instead, determine whether your starting roster gives you a strong foundation.

    2. Build one strong team before expanding your roster

One of the biggest mistakes beginners can make is trying to upgrade every character they unlock. While collecting new JoJos and their allies is part of the fun, your resources are better spent strengthening one team first.

So, choose characters that complement one another and invest heavily in them. Once your primary team is strong, you can begin investing in additional characters. This approach gives you a solid foundation without draining your early-game resources.

    3. Progress through the main story before farming

Story mode should be one of your biggest priorities during the early game. Not only does it provide rewards and experience, but progressing through the story also unlocks additional features and systems. So don’t spend hours farming materials that you don’t currently need. Push through the story until you unlock all the important features.

    4. Don’t rely too much on auto-battle

Although auto-battle can be convenient, you shouldn’t let it handle every fight for you. Difficult battles require better timing, especially when you’re trying to activate Rush mode. Remember that Rush mode requires three Ultimate abilities from characters with separate attributes to be activated together. And when successful, your team receives a 25% damage boost while also recovering some energy.

So, watch your Ultimate gauges instead of automatically firing every ability the moment it becomes available. You should also inspect the battlefield before combat. Check where enemies are positioned, determine which characters they are targeting, and then arrange your own team accordingly.

    Final Thoughts

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS combines the series iconic characters and Stand battles with a deep collection of RPG and strategy systems. As you begin your bizarre adventure, don’t worry about mastering everything at once. Start by building a reliable main team and strengthening your characters.

Once you get comfortable with the basics, you’ll stop fighting like a rookie and start thinking like a true Stand user. And that’s it from our JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: GS Beginners Guide. For more guides, also check our other guides below:
