As of its latest announcement, PlayStation Plus has 10 still-upcoming games between August and September 2026, with 5 of those games hitting on August 18, 5 on August 25, and 1 on September 15. These all follow the latest PS Plus Extra addition in Helldivers 2, which recently joined the service alongside its latest update (adding the Illuminate faction). Overall, it remains to be seen how these games perform on the service, but there’s solid variety among the games.

That variety can be a lifeline for PS Plus users every month because no game is really a fit for every gamer. As such, the fact that the current “upcoming” list adds a samurai action game, a zombie game, a party game, a management sim, an endless wave game, an open-world RPG, and an open-world survival-crafting game to PS Plus speaks wonders to the number of subscribers who might actually want to play something.

PlayStation Plus subscribers at the Essential, Extra, or Premium tiers will have a new freebie to claim on August 6.

PS Plus Extra and Premium Games Coming Soon for August 2026

    • Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (PS Plus Extra) – August 18
    • Vampire Survivors (PS Plus Extra) – August 18
    • Hell is Us (PS Plus Extra) – August 25
    • Umamusume Pretty Derby: Party Dash (PS Plus Extra) – August 25
    • Two Point Museum (PS Plus Extra) – August 25
    • Metro Exodus (PS Plus Extra) – August 25
    • Dying Light 2 (PS Plus Extra) – August 25
    • Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (PS Plus Premium) – August 18
    • Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire (PS Plus PS Plus Premium) – August 18

Following Helldivers 2 on PS Plus Extra are the open-world RPG Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and genre-defining Vampire Survivors on August 18, while Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire and Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams join PS Plus Premium on August 18 too. The next batch of PS Plus Extra games all join on August 25, including Umamusume Pretty Derby: Party Dash, Two Point Museum, Metro Exodus, and Dying Light 2.

Hell is Us and Two Point Museum are the only games not available on PS4 for PS Plus users.

In broad strokes, KCD2 is an open-world RPG with a strong historical fiction storyline set in 15th-century Bohemia, while Vampire Survivors‘ endless wave combat-looping gameplay inspired the entire Survivors-like genre. Atlantis: The Lost Empire is an oldie-but-goldie style retelling of the classic Disney movie, while Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is a samurai-action game appetizer ahead of Way of the Sword‘s release date in September.

Umamusume Pretty Derby is a bright, playful party game for PS Plus, counteracting the dark story in the FPS Metro Exodus and the zombie apocalypse seen in Dying Light 2, while Two Point Museum is a fun, quirky business management sim for PS Plus.

    • RuneScape: Dragonwilds (PS Plus Extra) – September 15

Announced earlier this year is the 1.0/PS5 release of RuneScape: Dragonwilds as a day-one PS Plus Extra game on September 15. This open-world survival-crafting game, set in the beloved RuneScape universe, also marks the franchise’s first console appearance. In it, players explore the lost continent of Ashenfall (while preparing for the Dragon Queen) and collect resources, build bases, cook food, fight monsters, and otherwise engage with the open-world survival-crafting aspects through core RuneScape-style combat. It supports solo play and co-op for up to four players, with progression tied to skills that can unlock new recipes, abilities, and ways to survive.
