Four games are currently confirmed for XBOX Game Pass in September 2026, including Dune: Awakening, Minecraft Dungeons II, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, and SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed.
According to TrueAchievements, Microsoft is expected to announce more Game Pass additions in the coming weeks.
The current lineup stretches from September 2 through September 28, with releases covering action RPGs, competitive platforming, survival, and Minecraft.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault arrives September 2
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault joins Game Pass Ultimate on September 2 as it leaves Game Preview and launches on XBOX Series X|S. The game is already available through PC Game Pass.
The action RPG combines roguelike dungeon exploration with shop management. Players collect relics in dungeons, sell their discoveries, invest in the village of Tresna, and improve their weapons and armor.
SpeedRunners 2 launches September 3
SpeedRunners 2: King of Speed arrives for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on September 3.
Available on XBOX Series X|S and XBOX PC, the sequel was originally scheduled for July before its release was delayed.
SpeedRunners 2 expands the competitive platforming formula with eight-player races, new maps, additional power-ups, and more ways to disrupt opponents during races.
Dune: Awakening comes to Game Pass September 22
Dune: Awakening joins Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass on September 22.
The open-world survival game comes to XBOX Series X|S and XBOX PC after its previous Steam release. Players explore Arrakis while crafting equipment, building bases, fighting enemies, and interacting with other players across multiplayer servers.
The XBOX release will also introduce a new single-player mode at launch.
Minecraft Dungeons II arrives September 28
Minecraft Dungeons II closes out the currently confirmed September lineup on September 28 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Developed by Mojang Studios and Double Eleven, the action RPG sequel introduces an all-new story and moves away from the original game’s separate level structure.
Instead, players explore an interconnected world map filled with hidden paths and dungeons. Mojang and Double Eleven have also changed combat, gear, and exploration while adding a jump mechanic that supports traversal and jump attacks.
More XBOX Game Pass games for September 2026 are expected to be announced before the month begins.
