Anyone who gets into a vehicle in Battlefield 6 is basically painting a target on their forehead. But the developers want to make one vehicle in particular safer soon.

Nowhere is safe on the battlefields of Battlefield 6. Whether we’re hiding in hard-to-reach places as snipers, fighting right on the front lines, or sitting in a helicopter, our enemies will always get us eventually.

Especially in vehicles, which are supposed to offer a little more safety, many players feel like they are easy prey. The term “glass cannon” is often used. Tanks and other vehicles could dish out a lot of damage, but they couldn’t take any. The developers now want to change that.
    A package of changes
The most dangerous vehicle in Battlefield 6 for its occupants is probably the light jeep, which has five seats and no armor.
Although it has a heavy machine gun mounted on the roof, hardly anyone dares to drive this vehicle, often dubbed a “death trap,” anywhere near a battle. Dice is obviously aware of this. nbsp;To PC Gamer, developer Kit Eklöf explains:

There will soon be a test in Battlefield Labs where we will be putting some vehicle improvements related to this issue to the test, specifically because we have received feedback that vehicles are death traps. We’ll be testing a package of vehicle improvements in Labs very soon, so keep your eyes peeled.“

At least the Jeep should be getting an update soon (hopefully it won’t just be seat belts)
. However, the changes still need to be tested, so we’ll probably have to wait weeks, if not months. The developers aren’t promising any specific changes for other vehicles yet. However, Kit Eklöf’s statement suggests that Dice sees a fundamental problem with the vehicles and may be planning more significant changes. Incidentally, the latest update for the start of Season 2 already included some adjustments to vehicles. However, the light tank has been weakened somewhat: it now takes full damage from hits from all sides, whereas it used to be better protected from the front. For the heavy tank, however, there is a small but practical change: the gun now moves just as fast in third-person view as it does in first-person view. You can find all the patch notes in the article above.
