A great summer preview reminds us: Whatever you think is happening over the next three months, triple it. You might need to book a vacation from your vacation just to make time for everything you, Average Polygon Reader, would want to scope out before the Labor Day bell rings.

A preview of the preview: Bond sneaking through the vents, Cloud crash-landing onto new consoles, Star Fox screaming back from deep space, pirates getting resynced, ninjas carving up the skyline, vampires brooding, and a soccer captain treating a bicycle kick like world-ending sorcery. Meanwhile, we’ll be opening forbidden doors to the Backrooms, resurrecting He-Man, sending Supergirl skyward, dropping Toy Story back into the emotional wood chipper, launching Spider-Man into a brand-new day, and letting Christopher Nolan turn The Odyssey into a summer colossus (or the ultimate discourse destroyer, depending on where you’re sitting). TV has dragons, mutants, Lanterns, benders, Vulcans, vampires, and doomed silo-dwellers. We didn’t even get into the books, the tabletop games, the comics, and the 800 YouTube videos we’re bound to watch instead of making time for the blockbusters.

However much time you actually have, you deserve to know what’s out there — and that’s why we preview. Here’s a look at what’s ahead (and a few exclusive looks for good measure). Check back all through Memorial Day weekend to find the latest stories.
